If you live around a bigger city, don't really travel, or at least keep it east of the Mississippi River, you probably wouldn't see much of a difference. The experience I had was while in New Mexico. I had poor service in most of the western states until I swapped. Now I rarely lose coverage no matter how far out of civilization I am. If I do it's typically only temporary.

I have had AT&T with my own - unlocked phones - for the last 4 years. Picked a plan I was happy with - no contract - non-expiring as long as I want the agreement. I have switched phones several times, no hassle from AT&T. They have even helped with the phone connection set-up!

What phone do you need to unlock? I personally used fusionunlock.com or eBay. They simply give you an unlock code to enter

    That's what I'm talking about @DUNE-T @Scvready

I have the sprint samsung s8+. Sprint released a software update and now my phone acts up sometime. I leave it on wifi with my att hotspot at work. Sometimes i have to turn off wifi and restart the phone to get a signal so i can text the boss. Sometimes there's no signal to be had. Sometimes there is. At the same spot. AND my wifi calling plus can't decide if it's available to turn off or on. I need that dude to stay on so i can use my hotspot to make a wifi call out in the boonies if i need to.

With this latest software update. My phone can't decide if it's going to work or not. I've loved sprint for the 15 years i had them before switching to verizon to go long haul. Went back to them now I"m local but both carriers have really gotten bad with their signals. Now I've got this att hotspot I'm really impressed with the coverage and speed it offers with the 5gig channel.

My problem only happens 1 day a week. I can't tell if it's the phone or if some towers are being worked on. But I've gotten to the point of thinking about moving to att full time. I have direcvtvnow owned by att i can get a $25 discount. And maybe ditch my hotspot. So i could get better phone service and save some money.

I also have a verizon samsung s6. Unactivated.

BTW. I picked up a sim card as that's what i gathered was going to be needed to unlock. If that makes a difference.
