I wouldn't care if I am parked incorrectly. The only person that is going to make me move on my 10 hr rest, is the law. You can call the manager and a tow company. I'm calling the police.

a truck stop is private property, the manager tells you to move and or leave you do it or the cops will come and make you move :biggrin_2559:.

That's fine. The manager can't make me break the law.

It is not unheard of for a company to use a suspension as punishment for preventable accidents. I believe the idea is to hang a potential loss of pay over the heads of drivers to make them think twice about what they are doing every time they move the truck. It only takes a second of inattention to have an accident. And a lot of new drivers are careless. I know- I myself was one of them.

i agree, i think a system like the old days where a driver paid for the damage he caused to save his job. It will deffinatly make you slow down the 2nd time

Well, maybe if more of the drivers stand up to the shippers like this, things would change. Make them call the police, you call DOT. too many cave.

always be paranoid when somebody wakes you up and asks you to move, that used to be a scam to move a couple of feet, just far enuff to get your duals on the blocks so they could steal your outer wheels!

Try it, the cops will come and tell you to leave the property. You can cry about the HOS all you want, all they are going to say is "move or i'll arrest you for trespassing"

Read around on here, people have tried the call the cops thing, and they were told to move or go to jail.

I agree shippers/receivers should be held responible for putting us in that situation but we dont have the power to make that happen .
