If the company you currently work for treats you like garbage and makes you drive junk. I'd say why not, not like they care about you anyways.

Yes it is. If you show up in another company's truck it would make me ask what will be do in my truck. You are under dispatch so you are getting payed to talk to someone else about a job while taking someone else's money.

Unprofessional? Not really, other company trucks go in and out others all the time. Just be respectful there nothing really wrong.
I use to go into a local company yard all the time. Drop my trailer and bobtail home. Come back and hook up and leave out.. Be the only Dry Van on the lot. Even had my trucked towed there when my transmission locked up on me. But then Again I was on friendly terms with the owners -
i am guilty.....have done it more than once....but didnt go out of route to do it...and never under a load and always took the trk to the terminal where it was supposed to be...

The only golden rule, is that there is no golden rule.
If it bothers your conscience... I'd wager there's a reason for that.
If it does not... there's probably a reason there as well. -

It's very disrespectful and unprofessional. Just because the company treated you like dirt doesn't mean you have a free pass to return the favor. It makes you look horrible to some prospective employers.
double yellow Thanks this.
