From YOUR own posts, I think it is almost impossible for you OR the other driver to see who had the right-a-way. Hire an attorney! Best advice I know!

I would be okay with being held 50% at fault but not at complete fault. If other vehicles had enough time after she hit to avoid completely then she either did not know how to drive in the snow or was speeding. There was a full-sized pickup 4 door behind her and he had more then enough time to see me and watch her hit and avoid completely.

speak to a lawyer, even though your boss (should) have insurance, and would normally provide a lawyer for you, go get your own, to fight that ticket. a good accident lawyer will have someone take pictures, and measurements. that will cost you extra, so get a price from the lawyer. usually the first consultation is free, all others after that are on an hourly based schedule, even sometimes just talking on the phone, and now maybe these days texting, and emailing.!!
we feel for you (at least i know i do) and with you being a female, that to me sounds like you could be railroaded, by getting that ticket.
i wish you well, call a lawyer on Monday morning, and IF possible, take pics of your tow truck to take to him, and if her car is in a tow yard's lot, try and get pics of that car as well.
good luck, i hope the best for you.Pamela1990 and Sunshinegirl Thank this. -
A different towing company came and got her car. I offered to tow her for free the officer told me they were going to call a company they trusted. I'm going to contact a attorney tomorrow morning and fiqure it out from there. I return my truck as well tomorrow for my days off so I will let you know if I have been let go. They posted a job opening on Indeed so either we were already hiring or they need to replace me.

1) sue your employer for unjust firing,
2) go back to work for him, hopefully for more money
3) get another job, and if asked why you got fired, tell the new employer, that you "won" your case against your former employer, (for unjust firing) and wish not to go back to work for that jerk.Badmon Thanks this. -

I love my job I love towing. I love helping people out. I'm first responder certified as well just in case while I am driving I stumble upon a wreck. I should have absolutely backed in and pulled out but I didn't. I pulled in and backed out. I made sure my hazzards as well as overhead lights were on. There was no traffic on either side coming so I backed out.

Example. This OP has her lights on and is on the road. An ambulance also with lights on hits her. Who is at fault. Does anybody remember that case several years ago where a State Trooper arrested an ambulance driver because he would not get out of his way. THIS is what I mean by confusing!

I agree with the last few above posts. If you were out there helping with clearing the roads from disabled cars due to bad weather conditions why weren’t the cops working with you to make everything safe for everybody instead of working against you? Even blaming you for someone elses lack of safety. Whether u were backing in,out or pulling in, out doesn't matter. You have to do what you gotta do in those situations sometimes. Your employer should support you. Sounds like the cops have something against the company you work for. Jmho.
