HOS regs have nothing to do with it. It's the new generation of drivers that think it's OK to drive it like you stole it.

Simple solution = don't take loads that you won't make delivery on-time.

Mmm lets see 4 million trk drivers on the road and over 150 million 4 wheelers on the road and trks are more likely to be dangerous drivers ... I think your way off..

Yeah, but that's not 'internet'. With identity theft being as common as it is, I'm not going to reveal that information to anyone who asks for it.

I would not be surprised to see that this is one of the reasons. The 14 hour window makes it so you have to stay at it.

I have a friend on the eobr and he will drive nonstop because of the clock ticking.

Tail-gaters have always been around, I think one reason you see more of it now is there are more vehicles around..but also the generation of drivers coming along now weren't brought up by the same class of folks that us older hands were ( read they weren't taken out to the wood shed enough...if ever)...thats my opinion anyway...the I , Me generation thinks that they are more important...that "instant gratification" thing is gonna hurt them in the long run...

Truck drivers are the 'professionals', 4-wheelers are not. Very rarely do I see a truck driver operating the vehicle like a 'professional'.

Easier said than done. Not every driver has the luxury of picking and choosing. Yes I understand that a driver needs to stand up for him/herself and refuse a load but it does not always work out that way.

Considering you can rescheduled just about any load who's in a rush? And I suppose all those 4 wheelers aren't in a rush to get to work?

Vary rarely? Now I think your imagination is running away so much for being logical..
