Elogs won't end speeding and careless driving. Look at all the bottom feeders for example. Even though they are governed at 62ish, MANY of those drivers I see keep it at 62ish driving through metropolitan areas. The ONLY thing ELOGs will do is remove your option to drive out of hours.

    You haven't proved anything.

If I were hiring a truck driver, Tony would be at the top of the list and runawayload and the guy that started this thread would be at the bottom. By the way, I am looking for a driver to replace our current driver who will be retiring at the end of the summer, Tony you willing to relocate?

This is your flaw in your perception ghost your ability to judge the abilities of otr road drivers is greatly diminished simply by limiting your observations of said otr drivers. Otr drivers spend such a small amount of time in the city most of our time is spent on the open road. And as for my 62mph trk your dwng right I do every bit of tha sometimes in the city my driving abilities rely on knowing when it is appropriate...Dallas, Chicago and ever big city in between you find 4 wheelers doing in excess of 80 mph at night leaving my doors blown of at 62 ...But hey im the aggressive driver?

Thanks , jjrglobal..for the vote of confidence and the job offer....but I retired in Nov. of 2011....I'm just now getting used to it...got too many deer and turkeys to hunt now days to even think about working....I mean without me ..you guys would be running over deer all the time , and you would be dodging turkeys that try to fly thru the windshield....:biggrin_25525: but seriously thank you so much for the compliment....I really appreciate it.

I was catching a 4 wheeler in TX on a 2 lane and attempting to pass and a Trooper pulled me over for tailgaiting. I told him I was in the process of passing and he said,"OH, he'll get off the road before you catch him agian, go on." Nice of him.

If I owned a trucking company I would hire him before me too. He's got expierence and a lot of safe miles (2.5 million or so), I just got out of school. You proved nothing by your post other than to try and stir the pot.

Good luck in finding your next driver.
