Why, tell us why you old folk assume to know everything? OK, you want a definition? Hell here's something else for you. Only 15 states have something say about aggressive driving. Only 11 of those have a written law about it, and it involves doing more than three things at once. Not just one thing. Sure. I have one year of driving, but I've been driving cars since I was legal to do so. The lost of things that could be considered aggressive are too long for me to tap out.
Now, defined in Wikipedia, Ghost would be right, so would you. But ya know, by definition that you so want, Mr. Perfect, going too slow for the flow of traffic can be considered aggressive driving too.

Aggressive driving is nothing more than an opinion of the officer who writes the ticket.Ghost Ryder Thanks this.
-
Yep. Hey you know what? It ain't worth arguing with a bunch of holy truckers. Therefor, I'm just going to say...you're right as always, I'm wrong.

Try fighting the ticket.
-
I got a lawyer to fight it for me, if I get one all I gotta do is sit back and see who wins.

After you beat the ticket, does the officer have to reimburse for the error?
No. -
)OK ...I stand corrected...so now you have at 22....I'm not sure I remember how to add...I'm so old...let's see ought from ought is ought..umm 7...no 6 years Wow.... Assume to know every thing...I've never once through this entire thread , now go back and read the whole thing...I've never made that assumption....I do have lots of not only life experiences( I'm 63) to draw on , and as you can see over 30 years driving semi's..and if you go back and count the time that I started learning (at 15 )...here comes that pesky math thing again...I've got 48 years of driving experience.
You see...what you're not seeing , and I can't figure out for the life of me why...you're not seeing that by our age we know more about the job simply because we ARE old....There is absolutely no way you can have had the chance to gain the amount of knowledge about driving at 6 years over that of someone who has been a driver for over 40....you know how to control a semi...you've got the license....so do I....but your limited (by time) knowledge is just that LIMITED....No dis-respect intended none at all.
Aggressive driving can be many, many things...and they are ALL one and the same thing...DANGEROUS... speeding anywhere is dangerous...speeding (driving too fast for road/weather/traffic/) is dangerous , Tail-gating is dangerous , distracted driving is dangerous , I could go on and on..the possibilities are almost endless. I don't claim to know all that there is to know about truck driving....far from it...I was a rookie to start with , just like you, I did it for a long , long , time and on the day I retired , I still considered myself to be learning...You in your spot just like me...should as drivers consider each and every mile a new learning experience....we will never , either one of us , or any other driver , get to the point of knowing it all...Being a safe , competent , courteous , professional driver is more mental than physical....the wrong attitude can and will ruin what could have been a long , lucrative and very satisfying career.
Not trying to tell you what to do man, you or any other rookie that reads this thread can take my post/s the way you want...as being a smart-alleck know it all "old " driver....or an Experienced friend willing to give you the tools and knowledge for having a great career..... -
IMHO this is the essence of the thing.

What gives you this idea? Does the fact that we've been driving CMV's longer than you mean anything? Or do you automatically know everything when you 'graduate' from a CDL mill?

Do you know what a local driver is? It means I NEVER leave a city.
May not be my ticket, but it's my life you're placing in jeopardy.
