I hope your joking about being as perfect as they come off. Especially when two post later he is talking about speeding tickets.you know, the laws I break are ok, but the ones you break well, they should take your license. If I'm not mistaken, a speeding ticket can turn into a reckless driving.

Don't get me wrong, tailgating is not very smart, but to come on here and say I have never, ever, done that under any circumstance, like some one passing, then hammering on the brakes when you are in thick traffic. After all, the driver was just asking a question about future jobs, he didn't say what the circumstances where that lead to the ticket, after all he did fight it and get it droped down so maybe there is more to the story.

And if you are counting people as perfect because they say they are, put me on your list, just don't talk to anybody who knows me in real life, because I know they would lie, and say I am not.

If you meant screwing up by driving recklessly, then I never have. I never have sped, or tailgated in either a truck or a 4-wheeler from the first day I got my license. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I take driving a vehicle more seriously, and my MVR/CSA/DAC reports reflect that. Your CDL is your livelihood, and you need to be the professional that treats it like it is.

Yes , you are mistaken a speeding ticket is a speeding ticket...am accidence is an accident...reckless driving is reckless driving. You are right about laws being broken...we are all guilty of doing that. Now you can combine speeding with an accident and it will come -up as reckless driving I suppose , but I'm not a LEO , or a lawyer. I don't recall anyone saying that they were perfect...perfect was tossed out there in a derogatory way of expressing an opinion....Go back and read all the posts...Not 1 single person claimed to be perfect....not one...there are those of us that have driving careers that have been blessed with perfect accident free driving records...in this whole thread that is the place where perfect has been mentioned.

Don't think anyone mentioned never ever being in a position where they were cut off in traffic either , that happens to all of us , alot, especially in really heavy traffic..the discussion was HOW youy handle being cut-off by another driver...do you stay right on their rear-end which all of us know is really dumb , or do you do whats right and back off and let them have the spot....

Well on the plus side thank god it was your personal vehicle and not in a semi.Had it been and the vehicle if front slammed on his brks due to slow traffic, maybe construction, you would had killed him instantly and maybe the people in front of him as well.

Nothing says 'screw-up' more than speeding and reckless driving. Driving more than 20mph over the speedlimit and tailgating traffic isn't a 'mistake'. It's driving like a complete fool. If you drive like this and then complain about your employer giving you flak about getting caught, good. You don't deserve that CDL. You don't know who I am, so saying that I drive like a moron is quite the ignorant assumption. I guess it's hard for some here to believe that there are those of us who take this job and their license seriously.

Added to that you really need to be trying on a helmet...so you can ride your "liquor cycle"..because you really don't need a license of any kind. Driving IS and should be considered a privilege...

Yeah, but the left wingers want you to be PC, so a CDL is a 'Civil Right'.

    Why so hard to believe?

I have not had a speeding ticket since I was 16. Learned from that mistake then.

We all speed and we all ride 4-wheeler bumpers like white on rice, apparently.
