securing a sealed trailer should be the responsiblity of the shipper but its not . as far as loading , the shipper should be responsible for the proper loading of freight . I know there are those of you who think different . I have been to many places where the people who load trucks have been taught HOW TO LOAD A TRUCK ,and if a driver leaves, scales his load and has to come back to the shipper . the person who loaded that truck WILL HAVE HIS ### HANDED TO HIM .More and more , we are not allowed on the docks and have to wait in our truck or waiting area . There is no way for us to see whats going on . I went to a place to pick up a load of bagged plaster , they got my truck loaded and then the boss came and looked in the trailer and told the kid " TAKE IT ALL OFF AND LOAD IT RIGHT " I think you see where I am going . As far as Load bars , I dont like them and as far as I am concerned , they are useless on heavy loads . I have had so many load bar fail its not even funny . I prefer strapps and I have had a few of them break lose on heavy loads .
What are you to do if the preload has a cable seal or a bolt seal ???? what do you do when the preload has a pad lock and the key for the lock has been sent by other means to the receiver .Ever pull Fed Ex loads ? you break that seal and its your ### . and Yes Tenn does break seals and they dont care what anyone says .
No matter what we do , we always get screwed .
