I always call ahead and get the ok to untarp at night or the next morning before they open. I get the persons name and make a note on the Bol. I also take pictures. One place in Sioux Falls sd that I went to believe it was Dakota steel. Must visually inspect to make sure it's tarped before unloading or they refuse the load.

I've pulled it the night before with permission only.
If permission isn't granted from anyone I'd normally leave it be. If I'm in an absolute rush I'd pull bungees but leave it pinned and the sides rolled in case I need to move around the yard in the am.
No harm in calling them during regular business hours the day before. -
Yeah unless you been there before, do not untarp . early. Might have to go to another locaction or morning dew on the product. Could be a problem. unstrap etc but leave tarp on.
