I do what I can and stay in pretty good shape always have been. I was big into circuit training before I got into truck driving now I use a few free weights when I can. It's kinda my out from the grind of driving so many hours if that makes sense though my trainer put it well. If you do your job as a driver well you will be exhausted after every week and I am. I have to take care of myself because of my diabetes also.

I know a guy that's 89 that still drives, I know a guy that's 82 that I swear to god I can't keep up with but they have reputations that are greater then god. So it's not if you can do it it's if you can get hired.

We have a driver that is 82. Been trucking for like 60 years. He did my road test. Super nice dude.

I'm still driving. My secret to longevity is whiskey, women and camel non-filters. Yep! Still going strong at 27.
QuietStorm, okiedokie, Chinatown and 2 others Thank this. -
I have yet to hear about a company's insurance carrier cutting anyone off at any specific age though. -
18 to 21. Had to go through training and everything. The health is the most problems truckers have. Like smoking is causing their health worse instead keeping it healthy.

As long as you're healthy and can pass a DOT physical and the required eye exams, you can drive. There is no actual age limit.
