Looks like it will be few select plants. Like poss. 1 engine or transmission per manufacturer. A couple stamping plants could stop the show... but ohio and michigon wont pay unemployement if workers are furloughed from lack of parts, but kentucky and tennesse will.
If say Woodhaven stamping plant shutdown, it would affect 2 truck plant for ford....
Btw ford ceo in 2017 made 17 million. In 2023 its 23 million... maybe 40% is not so far fetched![]()

I dont think the uaw is getting much sympathy from the general public right now with dealer lots crammed full of vehicles they can't sell at insane prices and lenders reining in financing ...I personally hand no sympathy for them or they're employers .
Go starve for what I care .Feedman, Siinman, WisWestern and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yeah, everyone concentrates what unions want and people fight over it (same as us over here), but not many seem to talk about record companies profits and crazy high CEOs pay.Rideandrepair, ZVar, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this.

Gm Wentzville
Stellantis toledo
Parts of ford wayne...
Yay wayne they are jerksbzinger Thanks this. -
I personally am totally fine with GM and Stellantis plants, never have problems there, but absolutely can't stand delivering to Ford. They sure are jerks therebzinger Thanks this.

So profits were crazy high, not so much now. When profits fall, are the employees gonna take a cut? Doubt it
And those record profits, where would they stem from? Ole Ronald Reagans tricle down economics would see these profits originated from all that stimulus money both parties had to try to give away first.
Wasted $$, time to pay up -
Automakers screwed the public during covid and karma is hitting them now ...right along with the uaw .

They did in 2009.
If dividends can go up by 20% (rough math) ober the last 10 years and over and they can spend money on stock buybacks in the last year, then there is plenty of money to raise wages.cuzzin it Thanks this. -
Yep, can’t get a basic car at an affordable price. Everything has to have a tv screen in the dash and electronics added fir every thing you could dream of. No thanks, can keep ‘em for their high prices. Don’t need to spend every dollar I earn for things I don’t need. I can keep the money to myself. It’s not a race to spend money like a drunken sailor in Rota during liberty call. From the uaw worker to the ceo, rotten to the core with greed for low quality junk that gets recalled left and right. When I bought my last family vehicle over a year ago it was from a dealer network that wasn’t price gouging as much as the big three. It also wasn’t by one that pushes EVs down your throat either. So far, things have been good so far and I’m not buying a uaw built vehicle in the future. I seem to be liking a more quality built vehicle.
