No problem. Believe me there are days out here that are stressful as hell and it really does help to have someone to help get you thru it, or even to just listen to you complain about how crappy your day has been lol. I still talk to my trainer bout once a week, and I still talk to a guy who i met in school. Hell hes become one of my best friends actually, and we call each other quite often just to bit ch about our day because we know the other knows exactly what we are talking bout. Your family is great to talk to out here but they have no clue what we encounter out here like fellow drivers do.

That sure makes a lot of sense. Steve actually said something similar to that today in class. He said “the first time you do a blind side back you’re going to be excited as hell. When you call you’re family there are going to say oh ok. But when you call a classmate or fellow driver they will know your excitement”.firemedic2816 Thanks this.

Well update on day number 3 here at millis transfer training in Cartersville Georgia. Today consisted of nothing but shifting and eating at a buffet which was great by the way. We had 6 students so he brought out the Freightliner cascadia and the Kenworth t700. We switched in and out of both trucks because not one truck will shift the same and you could definitely tell that today. Mr. Steve gave us some really good information and got us taken care of. He did get out of the truck after a few times and let everyone do it on their own. He did get in and out of the trucks a few times just to make sure that everyone was doing okay with the shifting. Today was a successful but tiresome day. We did get back in the class and he said that we all improved today and that's all that he asks of us within the training. Will follow up with another update tomorrow.

Day 4.. definitely the most long Drawn out day so far.. there is a lot of good information and information to pick up today as we learned about how to turn left and right in the truck and how to approach intersections. We also watched a very tedious long video of the pre trip inspection, we then walked out and hooked up two trucks to two trailers and did a pre trip. Very long and mentally exhausting day. From what Mr. Steve said it looks like we are going to start working on driving and backing tomorrow.

Day 5.. today Mr. Steve divided the class up into groups and one group got to go out driving and the other stayed on the backing range. I was picked to go driving. After driving for a little while and Mr. Steve showing us the basics, it was time for us to start driving. I was the first to go since I was already up there in the passenger seat. I think I did pretty well and I can honestly say I've driven a semi with a trailer before. I drove for about an hour and then we switched out. There is still a lot I have to learn and I know this course will not be able to teach me all of it. But I'm confident it's giving me and the others the skills to succeed.
