Elite Team is a different ballgame altogether as I understand it. You have one central dispatch person no matter where you are and all of the people I have run into who are doing this, love it.
I totally agree on the maintenence problems, it is downright pathetic but the planning complaint surprises me. Perhaps it is because I have my own dispatcher but I never sit, I mean ever. This is another example though of how different Trimac is. Every branch is like their own company and depending on where you work, your experiences may differ. What branch do you run out of?
It is a fact that every branch is different; pay, trucks, maintenance . I don't want to dissuade anyone from applying , it has overall been a good experience. I also worked for Schneider Bulk before coming to Trimac. So it is still a night and day experience. I work out of Lansing Illinois to answer your question.
Ethos, what about the vet program. I will retire in a few months with 23yrs and will get my CDL prior. It seems that TRIMAC might have a OJT program for vets that have no experience but have their CDL. Thanks for any information. I am interested in OTR and would be out of the Nashville, TN area.
Never heard of us having that. I know many companies do but the only bulk carrier that I know of is Schneider. But I don't keep up with it that well so don't take my word on it.
Agree that from what I have learned, all branches work very differently. My maintenance issues have been minor and I have a 475000 mile Maverick Truck. Air Conditioner went out a couple of days ago and they had it going again the next day. I am trying to keep my older truck because from what I have heard from our drivers getting the new trucks there have been many computer problems. Not to mention the space in the new Freightliners is ridiculously small. No thanks. Not even room for a refrigerator. Have not had any problems getting as many miles as I want but I like being home on the weekends.
Say what? Holy crap that's terrible. Even at Werner my insurance is 33 per week with 700 deductible. That's terrible insurance
