Exactly. We’re the bad boys of trucking, and everybody knows it.

    That's the thrill of it.
I see to many people come from a mega carrier
To the oilfield and bring rule book with them.

They actually think everybody follows all the rules.
They want to stop at the shop in the middle of a load because there missing a mudflap or a headlights out.
There scared dot is gonna get them.
Finish the day, then get it fixed at yard.

So a load hangs out 8 inches farther then it is
supposed to on your flatbed trailer.
So what, your only going 40 miles down some
    Beat up back roads anyway.
    Strap it up and go.

Dot is not going to bother you.
They know most oilfield equipment is beat
To a pulp anyway from running the leased roads.
We done are log book once a week when
    I was there.

1500 dollar a week job with basically a free apartment,
And your refusing loads and demanding more money.
And you get to sleep in a bed every night, not some
Trashed out oilfield truck at the truck stop.
She lost the job and the roof over her head, all in one shot.

I'll take the job. That's the best of both worlds.
You get the money and the comfort.

the load I refused was oversized dump load that was unable to be secured right with large metal things bigger than me on top of three layers of half hazardly placed pallets... and the kid with just a permit they made pull it didnt know he could have killed someone just by turning or changing lanes because you could not see past the front of the load.... oh an my name is not OP and right and wrong matter so does the law that is why my dot record is completely clean .. I have never been given a stern talking to much less a ticket
    for a reason

and I was underpaid not overpaid the other hot shots had 100 hour guarantee and they also did not get all they were suppose to much less the fact they never gave me an insurance card to be covered driving hot shot explosives

I gave them time and hard work they chose to be wrong and criminal but you can go pull perf guns with boxes of explosives in the seat behind you... they are Reach Wireline HQ in Aledo, TX by all means put up or shut up

and fyi I worked 80-90 hours a week and didnt get half my overtime so you go apply for it Duder

yeah I think the main ingredient my immediate boss liked was I am not afraid of A. Explosives and B. Speed I can handle both safely... and know when it is safe to speed and when it is better to be mindful of other ppl and speed less :D
I was fired for not taking a bad load but my immediate boss and likely his boss who was there didnt want me gone... it was the Head Quarter men who dont want women around... and honestly I worked over 100hrs that week but they changed my hours because they cant hide that much time from the government and dont want me to earn that much anyway... so I miss my coworkers but not the HQ ppl and its policies... I pray I find a company where right and wrong matter and so do I
and I support more equality in all of america... more men should be in teaching and nursing and more women should be in engineering, science, medicine, but also the dirty skill jobs too

    speedyk Thanks this.

@ChancesRGood any luck with your job search? Between your good driving record and your experience building perf guns, you should have no problem getting hired.

even the crickets are quiet... not a call... I have even called a few of them ... they arnt hiring right now, or not hiring green hats... if I havnt heard back by this weekend I am going solo with van schneider hopefully i will have better luck with a dbl (disbatch leader) and avoid drama... I might even asked if they can help me learn a manual preferably 10 gear but I know that will take time and not sure they will invest it in me... I grind with the best and stall out too much... mostly stall out the ppl in front do stupid #### and I get busy driving and cant shift fast enough... I am a great driver but multi tasking is not my thing.
my uncle wants to go out with me on the road if I do ... not sure I can talk as much since i dont talk or eat much at all when driving... and like I said talk, drive, shift maybe more than my max at first.
