Hello everyone, I have a Class B CDL with tanker and Hazmat that I am looking to upgrade to a Class A CDL. Does anyone know what that process entails? Do I just need to take the Class A road test, or do I also need to take another pre trip test? Thanks in advance for any info!
Edit...forgot to mention I'm in the state of Ohio if that matters.

Pre trip, skills course and road test. Same as if you didn't have a B for those parts.

I'm at great lakes truck school with class b tanker hazmat and upgrading to class a, you have to do everything, nothing carries over except endorsements
Spacat1 Thanks this. -
^^^^^ all YEOP. I'm here in Ohio, too. Wife drives school bus and will have to start "anew" when she decides to "fly right~!" LoL.
Not many endorsements on a B that will help you with the Class-A . . .
