Ha.. around here you have to work the docks and drive part-time for nearly 10 years before you even get into package. Then its usually 10-15 before you move to feeders. Never heard of a feeder driver coming off the street in these parts!
My 2 best friends both work there... one is part-time package and the other is hub manager. Both have been there for 10 years. I know of too many package drivers addicted to painkillers from knee and back problems associated with that job. Also, most are on adderall to stay keyed up and work at the pace demanded. It pays out the ### though if you can tolerate the severe micro management!

I would rather be a "scab" and "envious" then have my union dues go towards electing Nobama.the flying scotsman Thanks this.
-
I could work for CRST and still not be envious of Conway drivers lol.
-
Personally, I'm non union and I think UPS drivers don't make nowhere near the money I make. Just saying
-
Yeah, the type of cash you bring in at CR England is outstanding.

Feeder drivers are paid two different ways. 1). If the run is under 500 miles you are paid around $31.00 an hr. 2) if the run is over 500 miles you are paid somewhere around .64 cpm. All of your insurance for you and your family members are paid for by the company. You will have to pay union dues which are only 2.5 times your hourly wage. Very strict company to work for and they have a lot of rules. You can get hired off the street to become a feeder driver just depends on where your at. Louisville, KY runs team trucks. Hope that will help out.

That's funny. Keep trying or lurking
