First off, let me start by pointing out that I am VERY Union-Pro.. Grew up in a Union family.. Was a union Iron Worker for 5 years.. Stood on many picket lines for shops trying to go union, that didn't benefit me the least bit. That is how strongly I believe in Unions. Plan to get back in to the Union as soon as I can find a Teamsters job somewhere..

BUT... Calling Conway drivers a scab, is complete crap. Do you even know what a scab is? A Scab is a UNION worker who crosses the picket line for the company. As far as I know, ConWay has never been union, and I doubt CenturyClass ever passed a picket line to go to work.

But, to put in my 2 cents in for the union.. If it wasn't for the Union, you wouldn't have weekends, or holidays, or overtime.. So rag on Unions all you want, but if it wasn't for them, you wouldn't have half of the crap you do today.. even if you work for a non-union outfit.

I will also agree that Unions are NOTHING like they used to be, but there are still some that are still strong. Ie.. building trades. Oh, and thank Unions like Auto Workers for making it this way.

Please post your links to the article that says we're using less fuel then 10 years ago. Even if we are India and China's demand has increased dramtically in the last ten years.

Did you know that over 90% of the fuel produce in the US is on private land? You know the land that the president doesn't control. The amount of oil produce on public land has dropped by 40%. Don't believe me read this! http://blog.heritage.org/2012/03/19...coal-on-federal-lands-sinks-to-nine-year-low/

That's right the President taking credit for the US producing more oil then ever when really he has no control over the oil being produced on private land. The republicans must be communist!!! lol. Open you eyes a little bit and stop watching MSNBC.

Open your eyes. There is no difference between a Republican and a Democrat anymore. They are one thing; Politicians.

Anyone that thinks the President actually controls anything is naive. This country is controlled by the several billion dollar corporations. No one else.

I am not Pro-Obama, but none of the other candidates from his Election year would have done any better. You can't polish a turd, and this President was handed a plate of crap to work with.

I agree with you we need term limits on all political offices. Two terms and you're done. We don't need 20 year Senators.

There is a lot we need, but unfortunately Americans have let it go to far. Everyone got lazy as hell, and scared as hell to stand up for what we believe in. Also, the major problem in modern Unions. The only way we can stop this country from the downward spiral is a complete, and total revolt. Or a Revolutionary war. Neither is going to happen, because 95% of America is so brainwashed, they don't bother to ask questions anymore, just go with the flow.

I worked for UPS for 10 yrs prior to driving class A Trucks . Package car drivers full scale is around $31 hour +or- add 2 to five bucks. It depends on when u were hired. Feeder drivers start where package car drivers end. There to its based on how long you worked for the company and when u started working in feeder dept. as u move up at UPS your seniority changes as job change. U will have company seniority 1st then pkg or feeder seniority 2nd. But, if a huber goes driving after are asked. If you say pass . They will have more driver seniority over you if you go driving later down the road. All feeder drivers are paid by the hr and ot after 8 hrs. Except sleeper teams from daltex, denco, going to western states. Like seattle/redmond main hubs. There are paid hourly and mileage. Dont quote me on it. Ive talked to several feeder drivers i know. U also must take in account where you live in the country. Nw drivers earn more than drivers in Tx and se and ne. Due hi cost of living. Also what contract says too.

You don't think those big Corporations have their hands in Congressman's pockets? Your nuts. Or even the Presidents pockets? Most congressmen/women are large stock holders in most of those corporations.

Thank you captain obvious. That still doesn't mean they control what goes on in Senate. Sorry, but I don't buy conspiracy theories.
