FedEx Freight... depending on whether you applied for a P&D or Linehaul...P&D you'll start off around $22-24 an hour and top out around $26-28 (depending on location) and get OT after 8 or 40. Linehaul you top out in around .62-65 cpm (somewhere in the .60 cent range).
UPS Freight Truckload I THINK pays around .42-46 cpm (somewhere in the .40 cent rage) where as Union Linehaul drivers top out around .70 cpm for Linehaul and around $29 an hour for P&D. BIG difference between Non Union Truckload and Union Linehaul...as far as pay is concerned.

UPS Freight seems a no brainer....I would like to see what people are making with them.....they are offering me flat bed or van. Saying flatbed is like up to 76k
I have been doing some searches on here.....and I am not getting all the answers I need.... -
Look for @Russian Rabbit posts
He work for ups freight and is doing very well
Well above 75k -
I have saw some of his posts, and replied to them. Drug testing monday, and when that’s clear, they are scheduling orientation.

Depends on where you live. If you live in a heavy steel mill area I would chose TMC. I live in a heavy steel area I drove flatbed then left and worked for a steel mill. There are only 2 of us that drive for the mill. We are local and are considered steel mill employees. The pay is phenomenal to do nothing but turn that wheel. Back to your question I would do flatbed but not with a mega carrier like TMC. They have garbage freight. Look for a more family owned outfit. They will take so much better care of you. Weather you choose flatbed or van go with a small outfit so you don’t go poor and get burned by them
