Whats the job title for Ups parcel drivers that drive in the day cab with 53ft. trailer? I always see them going to distribution centers. Most of the time they are in and out. Are those city drivers?

All Feeder drivers whether pulling doubles or a big box.Fuelinmyveins and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

As the person above me mentioned, anybody who drives a semi truck at UPS is considered a feeder driver. Feeder drivers pull rail chassis, long boxes, pups and doubles.Bob Dobalina, Midwesttrucker and Fuelinmyveins Thank this.

Also on the UPS website the Feeder Classification is called Tractor Trailer Driver if you want to work under the Small Package Division. The Road Driver job classification is for UPS Freight. Read the descriptions carefully.

Feeder Drivers that are on a “city pickup job”. They take an mty to a customer, drop and then hook to a load. Some customers like Amazon who get a tremendous amount of returns, they take a load of returns and return with an outbound load.Fuelinmyveins and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

Haha UPS Freight almost roped me in that way some years back.

Some of those long boxes with the doors on the side go to the airport.

The daytime feeder drivers doing that city work probably have over 20 years of seniority, right?LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
