Looks like UPS is hiring feeder drivers off the street again in the southern NJ area. Anybody in the area should take a look if you're in a dead-end trucking job.

Unfortunately they are all seasonal positions. Thats such a tough gamble to make to leave a permanent job on the hopes they offer permanent in January.
ETA: Even though some of them don't say "seasonal" in the description, I guarantee if you complete the application process there will be a "Seasonal Hiring Policy" type disclosure that you have to accept before the application can be submitted. I thought I had found a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere a while ago when I was dipping my toe in the water, only to have to acknowledge the temp seasonal stuff toward the end. Non-starter.Last edited: Sep 21, 2019

Ad says FULL-TIME TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVERS. I thought their seasonal ads would say seasonal?? Did they switch that up recently with the wording?LtlAnonymous and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

You do seasonal. If they like you , they will hire you in the spring. Then you get to be on call. Till the fall at which point you get a full schedule. Then maybe a bid.
LtlAnonymous and McUzi Thank this. -

Pretty much. I've long wanted to move to Salt Lake City (most of my family is from out in UT/WY/ID) and found a Feeder spot that had no indication of seasonal status, even through the application process. But, in the end, I'd be moving a large family across country to begin a 4 year progression at $21/hr. That'd be painful.LtlAnonymous, FlaSwampRat, Northeasterner and 1 other person Thank this.
