    start = 17.40
    12 mos = 18.40
    24 mos = 20.00
    36 mos = 24.00
    48 mos = 27. something.

i'll be going to 20 next week. So then the gross should be 1250 ish.

i want to make clear that i think this is still one of the best, most organized, most well run companies around despite the fact that i'm not having fun anymore.
Well, at least i don't have to worry about where i'm going to park everynight.

Pharroh336, Pintlehook and Mike2633 Thank this.

Now THAT'S more like it. If i'm going to be there all day then at least i'm compensated ok for it. So that would be 70K if going by the last paycheck. Going to $20/hr on monday.

    1) Intertrashinal 9300 junker has returned:( . Oh well, it's not actually a terrible truck, and there are a lot worse problems that could happen at this gig. (Don't particularly like intertrashinal and never did. They're ok though)

    2) Decided to stop rushing around; i work steady now and still can get most of it off. i'm enjoying the job more---going to totally different places everyday and even some places and roads i never knew existed.
    a) Been driving mostly rentals with automatics----real automatics with torque converters, not this "automated" crap and with serious A/C. This helps make the job easier and more enjoyable.

    Mike2633 and Pintlehook Thank this.

Strictly my opinion, but I think you're going to get MUCH happier as time goes on. Seniority, money, and runs most likely go hand in hand at UPS Freight. Good thread, I hope you continue to keep it going.

I read the article you posted about the founder of Over Nite and he said something very interesting in it, he said "I don't work hard I work regular."

Yes, more interesting and cheerful stuff; You probably tired of hearing me b###h about my job all the time:

i just love that generation's attitude. And not just Harwood, but a lot of the other Overnite guys in safety etc..

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

Russian what's this promotional video fully about? Was Nitliner just an internal company thing?

i believe niteliner is when a driver goes from his/her home terminal to another terminal (usually a mini-hub) switches trailers, then goes immediately back to his/her home terminal by next morning. Thus, very fast transit times for customers.

i don't think Niteliner would work for say, if you wanted to ship something from NY to california . In that case, you would do Next day Air which we have the ability to do as UPS has a large air fleet, but it will cost you.........

I used to work in the office furniture industry shipping and doing sales and people would call up "We need this and that right now!" I would get them an air freight quote and the next thing they would say is "Yeah you can just ship that regular old ground."

Now that's more like it again. If i'm going to be there all day, then at least it should pay off at least to a certain extent. Not great, but not too shabby considering there's always a parking spot for me at the end of the day---i don't have to worry about where i'm going to stop for the night.

Driving much more automatics. And i'm talking about real automatics with torque converters----none of this "automated" crap. This makes the job much easier and more enjoyable.

Not really rushing anymore; Cannot and will not rush anymore. Just trying to enjoy the job more, only concentrating with the stop at hand unless there are appointments.

Job is not really fun for me anymore.

I just noticed your federal withholding is super high. You are going to have a helluva tax refund next year. If you want to take home more money each check you can claim "1" for yourself on your W-4 form.
