Dude they call it all a raise in the contract.
Man I really don't want to insult you. And in not trying to. Just being truthful when I say that if you have been serious this whole time you are beyond stupid. You really can't be this dumb are you? Are you just messing around?
I'm at a loss for words at this point.

So you think that general wage increases are the same as cola increases?? Why does parcel have a section of their contract that specifically mentions COLA, but freight doesnt??
-
I think this is what he is getting at, where I work at we have a entry level wage, every six months we get a hourly and cpm raise until we hit two years from date of hire, at that point we are at top scale, so I guess that would be considered what you guys call the wage progression, but along the way there is also a yearly raise also which continues after hitting top scale, I think that's the one he is saying is COLA?
-
No he just doesn't understand the contract and is confused.
-
So parcel got cost of living adjustments and freight got "raises".
You cracked the case dick tracy. The hidden two tier wages has been exposed. Good job. Spread the word and warn all the freight drivers.
EuropeanTrucker Thanks this. -
I'm just going to pat you on the head, say youre a very special boy, and let this rest. You dont know what youre talking about.
There is no cola for freight. If there WAS cola, itd apply to ALL drivers regardless of where they were at in progression. What freight DOES HAVE is standard wage increases for drivers who ALREADY completed their progression.
COLA is not the same as a standard wage increase. You dont understand that, though.

This has all been very entertaining, but I have a simple question related to this progression vs. raise/COLA argument.
Does UPS Freight have raises for drivers who are topped out, or do they have to wait until the next contract? -
Yep, they have raises for drivers already topped out under the new contract, but no COLA.
-
UPS Freight contract has fixed raises to top rate. When a driver finishes progression, he goes to the same rate as everyone else does for the given year. No one ever has a lower top rate than other drivers.
This is the exact same process for Parcel. There are no adjustments for progression either. The progression rate is fixed to the rates stated in the contract.
Parcels raises will be a minimum of the rate of inflation aka COLA. And with this contract that's all we got. Whereas Freight' raises were under the cost of living index.
But otherwise the way drivers go thru progression and into top rate are identical for both.
Progression is set forth by the contract. There is no adjustments to that progression rate for neither Freight or Parcel. Only thing that can change the progression rate is a new contract. There are no yearly adjustments. -
Omg dude. This is beyond absurd now. I'm thinking you have to be a mole for the union lol. Maybe they kick you a nice vacation a year to keep the other drivers at your terminal nice and docile haha. Maybe ask a freight driver about the contract next time you see one. Maybe they can help you understand better. Smh.
For now, I will just post this:Attached Files:
