about half are already gone, i left dec1. , before it all came down. the advance dc wanted schneider to fire a guy for supposedly " giving someone a mean look and talking loud" when picking up paperwork for a load, they fired the guy and they were scrambling for a driver to cover his load the next day, i walk in and tell better look for another, i quit. cleaned out truck on wed. bought me another and became o/o again on friday dec 3, i knew something was up as one of the guards told me ups had brought in some equip to set up for the logistics end of things.

WOW! They shouldn't have a problem filling those empty spots..Place an ad or have a job fair..They're alot of drivers down in that area..BTW,what was Schneider paying per stop?I'm pretty sure you guys had runs you ran everyweek too..A friend of mine worked in there truckload division and he quit last yr.He told me the horror stories of getting into some of the stores when he had to help out in Kutztown,Pa for a few weeks..I told him to check this site out.

I started on the 14th of February and so far I am not that happy. That being said I lost my good union job in colorado making over 70,000 in 4 days of work. I have been on training runs so it is hard to say what the pay will average. Last week my gross was 721.oo. This check will be much better considering I ran more miles. I am only here in Kutztown for training. I will B going back to Florida in 3 weeks to work at the terminal down there. The drivers at Kutztown dont seem 2 B happy. They complain all the time.

What is the typical weekly pay for a UPS Freight dedicated Advance Auto driver? I got an interview next week. I'm already with a decent company and want to figure out if the switch will be worth it. Also, what type of training is involved? Also, is this position unionized? I've seen a lot of comments on this, but no definitive answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We do more than just LTL. Advance should be part of the Truckload SSD division. -
I know this might be considered a silly question, but they told me there would be 20+- stops per run and that I'd be home mostly every other night. What is considered a run: the whole week or just going out and coming back to the home terminal ( perhaps 3 "runs" in a week?)?

Well, I was offered the job, but they don't pay me as well as my current company. The benefits are not as good either and I'm home every night with my current job. Oh well.
