Looks like they've joined 99.9% of the other companies out here and will hire anyone with a beating pulse.

I love the words of wisdom from the experienced driver/onlooker.

"You're supposed to inch up under there, and see..."

I will put money up 100 to 1, that a 3rd party "contractor" did this, not an UPS driver. The tractor is not an UPS tractor.

I came up to a bridge the other day with a 13 ft clearance. I didn’t see any signs until I was right at it. I ended up backing up with flashers on for nearly half a mile to turn around. In the mean time a full size box truck passed me and went right under it. Idk if they’re not quite as tall or if he just got lucky.

Looks like a Sysco load. I did a lot of Windy City, fact is, living in Wisconsin, deliveries to Chicago were just a given. The 1st thing I did was get a low bridge map. I never trusted the signs, many times, the roads were repaved, adding a couple inches, or dug out and the signs never changed. I had my CB antennas set for 13,7, so if my antennas made it, I was good to go.
to Oldeskool: many locals in straight trucks know what bridges they can get under, I think most straight trucks are 13' or under.

FedEx sucks far as I’m concerned. I ordered new fenders for the 77 CJ5 I restored, the boxes looked like they had been thrown or dropped when I found them outside the garage….
