Has anyone ran these local UPS loads here in PHX, Az..?
I got a msg to run these local loads here till Dec 24th. Being as my loads slowed down, and as I live 10 miles from the terminal, I decided to run this. That and ill be home for the holidays.. I guess Ill enjoy running this for a few weeks, rather than sitting and waiting for loads.
Hope this isn't one of those "oh god, don't do it" runs.
Just curious if anyone else has ran it, or is going to.

Sounds like to me that they are keeping you busy rather than letting you sit. Do it and enjoy the time at home.

is this where you run empty trailers to the ups terminal and then bobtail back for another over ond over. if it is you get paid by the mile w/ the sliding pay scale as well as like 25 more per trailer. if you get three or more a day you can make good money. if its not then i have no idea. i did it a year or so back in the chicago area. just be careful because if the runs get a little longer like 150mi. or more then you dnt get the extra 25. just the sliding pay scale pay. hope this helps.

Well it was simple as it gets. Grab mty's take um to dc's and haul ups trailers back to them. UPSMs lot isn't very big, and not friendly to us otr trucks, more of a day cab lot, so you better know how to push that trailer around when backing or yer gonna piss off a lot of ups people. Lol they even asked if you if you can back in tight slots, as they can't have you holding up their guys.. nevertheless it was fun/simple..
Got paid by the hour, worked 10hrs ran just under 200mi.. cake
