I don't know what they are like these days, but back in 2003, Schneider was an excellent training company. I did my time there, and moved on to start my union trucking career.

 

I do well with structure, so I hope they, Schneider, kept the standard of excellence. I don't really see how anyone could expect less than best practices. Maybe this is the newbie speaking in me, but again I have great respect for that vehicle, you gotta be the best drivers on the road with those beast. Or, it could be my age, I appreciate life. Schneider is very particular in this training and I'm glad that the officials at the DMV in Illinois said my license is easily transferable after I finish. So, goal #1, finish and see what bites on the end.

 

And if your dream companies don't bite directly out of school, do a year somewhere else to get your experience in, and reapply.
