US-54 E @ Tucumari NM

Just came that way from Ks to Tucumcari.
Easy running and the only sensible way to go.

In winter it can be a tad more touch and go in a blizzard than running I-40/I-44 or I-35. Be cautious in the section in New Mexico to the Texas border, windy and hilly and some folks get impatient and try to pass in bad situations. One of the few instances I've had a truck trying to pass another truck coming at me on a two lane road with seconds to react and seconds to spare.

 

Only ran that road about a thousand times. Good easy road only way to go. But there are johnny law in all the towns. Be safe
