LOL I have set on I-17 for over 6 hours when there was a fatality, just crawled in the sleeper.

Yes, its basically all elevation change. 1 or 2 long pulls. South bound is easier than North. You are definitely going to be testing out the cooling system on your rig.

93 all the way from vegas to phoenix is good to go. Did that route for about 5 months total this past year. So no issues.

I use a Garmin Dezl unit its a 2018 with free downloads and traffic for life of unit. Few hiccups but not as bad as the Rand units. I hated them with passion.

You better have that cooling system a VERY perfect working condition before you go that way in 110-115 F temps outside.

It would be a ultimate test of the truck's ability to keep cooling. Water boils at 212 and you should have knowledge of what mix you are in coolant and how hot it should be before it boils off. A example would be 260 with a 50/50 mix. However I think if your computer gives you a hard time because it "Thinks" you are overheating...

Good luck to you. As far as 93 is concerned run that with a high horse engine. Otherwise I just run the 17 to Phoenix. I actually do better on 17 believe it or not even though its a few hours longer.

    CarhaulerLA Thanks this.

You used to be able to drive right over the top of the Hoover Dam, that was Amazing, but after 9-11 they stopped all truck traffic from doing so. They had a nice detour through Lauglin and up US95 That nice long mountain grade going down into Lauglin, I think it's about 5 miles straight down with a red light at the bottom .....Yeahhhh I smoked some brakes on that one with no Jake Brake, :D so bad I had to pull over about half way down and let them cool for about an hour

I often wondered if that stop sign was ever run. lol
That was a neat sight driving across the #### at night, that one curve was kind of tight though.

You mean the curve where you could see the whole side of your trailer?

Yea. dat one. We used to call on the cb and make sure we didn't meet in the curve, with folks not running cb's these days, I guess it is a good thing we can't drive across there anymore. I always thought they were just waiting for a good excuse to quit leting us cross it and 911 was just an excuse.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever taken Route 89 from Prescott down towards Wickenburg?
