Sysco pays by the day and US FOODS does piece pay. People like you are the reason why us truckers are labeled idiots.

Sysco's pay varies by warehouse and so does US Foods. DIP, ABC, Hourly. Around here, they(Sysco) pay hourly. Not all warehouses are eaqual, not all warehouse are Union, and the ones that are Union, not all are IBT.

I may make truckers seem like idiots but you are an idiot you post a form that you already know an answer to or you could just ask another associate at your job that would label you as an idiot. And I also find it funny that if you have been driving a truck for 11 years that would make you at least 9 years older than me since I'm 23 so a 23 year old made you so upset you've resorted to name calling it really shows how much of a baby you are :biggrin_2559:

I worked for US Foods for a year stayed on the hourly so I don't know how the pay by performance worked. I do know that it pays well from buddy's that I talk too. They don't really want people on the hourly they want everyone on the pay by performance. I was about to get on the pay by performance but got canned cause of my own doing. I would still be there if I didn't get fired. Young mans game? I was tired of being out of shape from 5 yrs Otr. Needed a job that was physical and payed well for my bills. I was 34 and 5'6" 260. Lost 40lbs in the year I was eating like a hog too. It's a good job, it's all what you make of it. You can be miserable if you have a bad mindset of physical work. Its not hard once you get used to it and get the hang of it. Not many jobs where you can work 4 days and make 55-100k a year.

I took first job that called me not knowing I could easily went to another food gig. I'm working Linehaul LTL for Usf Reddaway. I've got my weight down to 204lb without a physical job amazingly. But I got foodservice in my back pocket instead of Otr. My experience might be different cause I was working 12-14hrs a day in the summer then put on a route that only worked 43-45 hrs a week with alot of driving clearing 760 take home. It was a easy run loved it til I got bumped. I was taking home in the 800's- 900's weekly in the summer on base pay running 53hrs a week. I stayed on hourly cause that route I had would made less on pay by performance. Also right at the end they just negotiated the union contract so pay went up would of been making 21hr with the raises then with only a year in. I think you can make 60k+ your first year if your on pay by performance and taking the heavy cases all the time. I didn't take the big runs all the time. You'll have your choice on extraboard most of the time. Plus you can sign up for Sat cause no one wants to work Sat and sat are laid back. I rarely did sign up for sat either. Overall it's a good company. I made 55k my first year but like I said I was on a low case low hr run. It's all about cases if you want to make the big $$$ and they got them.
