I know this is not very timely, but, my husband works for Pat Salmon and I know they had a run out of Lubbock open a few weeks ago going to Dallas. Not sure if it's still open or not.

Does anyone know anything about Byrd trucking
-
All I know is they didn't make the Top150 suppliers last year so they're fairly small.

can someone talk about eagle express line more about their pay and bennys
-
Pay and bennies are set by the USPS. Pay is by the hour and benefits are a set amount per hour up to 40 hours per week. Eagle is a good company from what I know according to a couple friends of mine who work there. The company ownership has recently changed but the drivers were told everything would remain as it was. A controlling interest in Eagle by purchased by Hoovestol, Inc.

I have been driving for Eagle express since 1997 and hailing mail since 1994. Eagle seems to be a good company to work for with annual income between 55 and 70K. Easier when you get on a scheduled run but starting off you will be an extra board driver out of warrendale. I-79 exit 75. Its tough starting off but well worth the wait if you can hang with it. Pitts pay rate is 20.76 an hour plus 4.86 health anjd welfare.

We have a few Byrd drivers delivering mail here at the Indy Airport. Think the company is based in TX. the local newspaper was looking for drivers to run Indy to Philly round trip 2X a week. No problems about the company as far as I know. Drivers I have talked to seem happy with their job.
