US to Mexico?

As far as I know it's safe. I was meaning when we went there it was to drink and hit the girlie bars. Not the best parts of town. That's what I wouldn't do these days in my private car.

 

Exactly, bars, clubs, red light districts might put you 6 feet under.

I hate to have to spell it out for you Dave. The OP was asking a question, not making a statement. No one has said it is not safe to cross the border. Just advising the OP not to drive his TRACTOR across the border.

I would not drive a CMV across that border. You might lose it. Park on the US side and cross another way. Have the friend come pick you up. To be honest I'm not even 100% sure you can legally cross that line.
