US to Mexico?

    This right here. I agree.

    It matters on a few things. Us tall dopey looking gringos should probably avoid.

    Also how much attention you tend to draw to yourself or can you blend in.

    That NY couple could have been screwing up, drawing a lot of the wrong attention and just being clueless New Yorkers.. Hollering at the Mexicans for not offering smaller low carb beverages or something. You know stuff that screams, "I have no idea the environment I am in, Im an easy target."

    I remember reading, in 1980, the report of a company VP after visiting Nuevo Laredo to observe how we could interline with a Mexican carrier for DuPont loads.

    He described how everything not welded fast was removed from the dropped trailer by a swarm of people who would gladly sell you a glad hand or a marker light, etc.

    It was enough to establish an association with a Mexican carrier with a fenced drop lot.

    I got the impression that a dropped tractor would be stripped faster than the 60's crowd on the Cross Bronx Expressway...can you afford to buy back the missing items?????
