Have driven for Celadon and US Xpress. Celadon better by far. US Xpress gave me a run down pos truck and I was a trainer. I ran a little midwest regional before getting certified as a trainer and they drove me nuts with bad dispatching. They had a Hurricane in Ala. so they sent me from Cali with a load of generators and had me heading for Ala. When I got close to San Antonio they sent me in another direction, and then when I got around Little Rock they sent me toward Mobile, Al. Then they only paid me staight from Cali to Mobile. They will have you drop a trailer at a railyard in chicago and then the next morning ask you why you are late for a pickup in Wisconsin even though they already dispatched you to michigan to get a loaded trailer. Then they have you turn around to get a trailer at a repair shop and head for Wisconsin. Do they pay you for heading east and then back to Chicago? Of course not. One day they sent me a message and asked me what trailer I had. I told them and they told me I didn't have that trailer. You put all that crap in their computer they don't know how to read or what? F Us xpress.

I had informed a new driver thinking of working for USA they would be making a big mistake. Yesterday, I found out just how bad they are. My last ck. due me was for 600 dollars. When it never arrived ,I was informed it was being kept for reimbursement for the orientation class I had to attend prior to beginning employment for them. What a crooked company. I knew they were cheap when it took 3 days to replace my steer tires,as they went through the used tires to find the best ones they had.I wouldn't send anyone to this company, unless they expect to support them as they cannot possibly support themselves. I hope to soon see them inn bank ruptcy court and never allowed back on the roads:biggrin_25510:

Let me ask you this. Is it the same dispatcher giving you all these different orders, or is it someone different every time?

You would get messages from two or three people at once, some days.

Next time, if you're in Chicago, and someone sends you to Michigan, and THEN some moron wants to know why you are late getting somewhere in Wisconsin, tell him to go talk to the first guy.

Then, tell them you're pulling over at the next truck stop until they make up their minds.

Been there done that. I actually picked up a load in San Diego that went somewhere in Oklahoma. When I got to Phoenix they sent me a message asking me where I was.? I told them Im fueling up in Phoenix. They told me that my load was to be taken to San Bernadino rail yard.... Ya right, my qualcom said Oklahoma!!! Long story short, me along with 7 or 8 other drivers driving to Oklahoma were suposed to drop our San diego loads at San Bernadino rail yards- TO LATE, we were ALL running east at that time!!! Dont drive with a carrier that uses rail yards for transportation! I laughed all the way to Oklahoma!

I used to get dp on team loads at USX and when I would stop to take my break they would ask why the truck was parked. I would inform them I was a solo driver and had already informed them my ETA to the consignee when I pu the load.

They seemed to always wipe the slate clean from one shift to the next so that you had to keep repeating the info you already sent.

I had more then a dozen different DM'S with USX they seem to go thru them as fast as drivers.

My current company (May Trucking) fired my DM last week so now I have to deal with a DM in training,so lots of wasted time waiting for her to figure things out.
