Appreciate the pointer. But I am currently already scheduled to start with USX in less than a week, and I've gotta admit, I've been getting pretty excited about the job offer they've put on the table for me, and by this point, I'm just about all amped up and ready to get back to work again! Haha! I will check with Swift on that though, can't hurt to verify about that. Then maybe if I happen to need a new option, down the road...well I'd obviously have to look into a whole lot more than just that, haha! But yeah, thanks for the pointer!

Maybe it has not been mentioned here, USX will give you a fuel solution for each load. They will tell you where to fuel the truck and if you fuel at some other location they will charge you a $25.00 fee unless you had prior approval for the change in fuel stops. This also somewhat setup to where they assume you are to fill your fuel tanks at that time, so filling only 50 gallons would not really work.

I first found that bit of information from my recruiter, but yeah I'm pretty sure somebody has mentioned it at least once on here. Thus why I said, in my last response to Flood "That's why when I was driving with Werner...although it was different circumstances and different company fueling policies than what US Xpress has in place.........".

*Although I do believe that is the first time I've heard the thing mentioned about the $25 penalty for fueling at a non-approved location. But that's not gonna be a problem for me anyway, since when I'm given a fuel location, I stick to it. Like I said though, when I was with Werner, it was different...no fuel solution with the dispatch. They give their drivers the freedom, then if a driver screws themselves by putting themselves overweight or running out of fuel, it's the driver's fault. Werner had a couple policies like that, that even though they seemed cool in principle, when you closely examine the policies, you realize that it's just Werner covering their own @$$es and being able to blame the driver, when they need to. They had that policy about fueling, and another policy that they wanted drivers to make our own routes, even though they would provide us with "suggested routing" along with the load assignment, drivers would be free to and encouraged to determine their own route, with a generous route-deviation allowance, the longer the haul, the more allowance they would give their drivers for that.
