LOL Yeah I've seen 502, and her sisters 501 and 500. I think 501's got the crane welded to the 5th wheel. They get around though, I've seen them in Memphis, Dayton and Roanoke.
I've been a pretty busy beaver since I came back from TG though, haven't had time to post here lately. I WAS in Memphis terminal overnight, but some sort of storm interference wiped out the wi-fi there. I'm in Roanoke overnight for a service job in the AM. (If only I'd ignored that beeping Qualcom, I could have made it to KY! Oh who am I kidding? They'd just reroute me to "the black hole" and I'd be lucky to be home by New Years)
I will say this company is not the same as it was last year,,, equipment is slowly improving (I'm not seeing anywhere near as many busted trailers as I used to) and I'm sure things will take a huge upswing after the 9400's are retired (are they waiting for a set date? A millage per unit rollover? or are they just being taken out of service at random) This row with International has got them looking at different units too, so now you might just get a Pete or a Cascadia instead of a Prostar or Kenny.
So we've got a bunch of NEW equipment waiting for,,,, well, who the hell knows what for? And when people start driving those (assuming they don't all just go to students who wreck them) and of they're properly taken care of, we should have less of a problem with DOT.
Now if we could just get breakdown to stop being so cheap,,,
(watches a unit being towed in because somebody in AR wouldn't auth a trip to a shop and the unit broke down in route to a terminal)
USA,,,, DAY-cabs? WTF?
