You heard wrong, USA does not have ALL automatics. They do however have quit a few and they work just fine and dandy. Haven't you ever driven an automatic car before? same thing only bigger.
I'm confused....are their trucks trashy or are they fine and dandy? I also see it took you 14mos. to figure out that USA was the worst of the worst but only 1wk to claim marten as the best. Which I see apparently you're not happy with their trucks either. P.S. has lake cumberland started coming back up yet?
Most of their trucks are trashy but as far as fine and dandy I was only refering to the Automatic transmission, not the truck. My 2008 Pro Star had an auto and drove fine but the Icon didn't work and never worked. It went to four dealers and to all the terminals only to find out that it was an ISX Cummins computer issue, never was fixed and then the Air went out. I was broke down over 30 days in 2008 and over 15 days already this year. You tell me, trashy or not? As for Marten, I may have spoken too soon but so far they are very polite which is quite a change from USA. Lake Cumberland repairs to the Dam and scheduled to be complete in three years, still enough water for me to kayak in when I'm home.
I just left USA Truck. last week, im not one 2 complain but a person would be better off working in a chicken plant than driving 4 them. get prepared to wait on loads there load coordinators are just a bunch of rude kids. One of the worst jobs i've had.
i left USA in late september after a year and a half. NEVER waited more than 5 HOURS for a load. BUT i CAN say, the Co. i am with now does PREPLANS, something they ought to think about.... usually get my preplan the afternoon before i deliver, unless in the NE planners region
I too just left USA after 17 months, it was common practice that if you delivered on Friday you probably wouldn't have a load until Monday, happened over and over again. I couldn't believe how rude these people were to the drivers, too bad they didn't have any team spirit. Too bad for them.
i NEVER had that problem. i had good DM's though and we got along very well. they useally tried to get me a long weekend run so i didn't have to deal with the idiots
I'm with you Pat, I've never sat from fri-mon waiting on a load. I delivered this past Saturday and picked right back up with a 1300ml run that del mon a.m. put me over 3400 for the week. Satmantoo I no USA is by far perfect and not to pick on you personally but if you drive with the same consistancy (or how ever you spell that word) that you post you'll probably find yourself unhappy where ever you go. Is their trucks trashy or not, did you work for USA 14mos or 17,ect,ect.......those contradictions are in this post alone.
