They asked me if I wanted another truck and I said "what are you going to do with this one? give it to some newbe so he can be brokedown too. They said they would get it fixed and I reminded them that they couldn't fix it with me in it and they know what's wrong with it. It's a computer glitch and they can't fix it. The unit needs an APU. If you want a good company I can get you on with Marten, all APU trucks. So far so good.

Ya every time they fix it it fails w/in weeks. You got out of it at the right time though. Last 2 months have been EGR valve and cooler, countless fuel filters, regeneration injector, dpf filter, some other part to do with the dpf filter, countless icon and a/c repairs. I told them today I was resigning but it sounds like my dispatcher wants to keep me on, says freight is picking up and he will take care of some unreimbursed expenses they still owe me for, wants me to give a 2 week notice and see if I want to stay after. I wasn't expecting that and being the person I am told him that I would, even though I've lost pretty much all hope in USA. I only need 4 more months to fulfill my contract but what's the point if I'm broke and unhappy. To tell you the truth I'm bored with USA, bored with a dry van, and bored with ultrashifts. I'm wanting to sling some chains and tarps and trying to get on with Melton right now. I appreciate the Marten offer and wouldn't hesitate to go that route if I were considering reefer. Take it easy man.

Almost forgot about all the other issues that truck had, that is on Lemon of a truck, too bad for the poor trucker trying to make a living and being stuck with it. I'm driving an old KW now, not much room but really powerful and not one bit of problem. Nice to drive this many miles and not go into the shop. Marten doesn't believe in driver lounges but they sure keep the trucks in tip top shape. Everyone carries extra fuel filters, extra oil, anti freeze, anything you want for the truck your welcome to. What a change.

Ya I'm the poor trucker and have not been able to make a living with it the past 2 months. I think I"ve finally got it to where it will work but we'll see. Its been good here the past couple weeks though not getting great fuel mileage like I was getting. Since I put in my 2 week notice my dispatcher has been running me pretty good. 1500 mi. over the w/e, 700, now on a 1500 down to Laredo so we'll see how it goes. If I can keep this up and they reimburse me for what they owe me and some breakdown pay I'm gonna tell him I'll work another 2 week notice come the 24 :biggrin_25525:. Glad things are going good at Marten, I have heard lots of good things about them.
