First time ever using them. Was extremely easy and fast. Drove about 15 miles on them and loved them. 13 minutes to put on and about 5 minutes to take off. Set them in the floor to warm up and dry off for the night and put them back in bags. Only drove 25 mph and had no problems. would recommend them light duty OTR stuff.

Glad to hear they worked out! Much lighter than chains.

I've looked into getting a set, but they don't seem legal the way I've read the law for a single screw. I believe I'd need a set of 3 railers..

I have two sets of them for my truck. Not sure on legal issues but where I run it is legal as long as two sets are on.

Right. As I read the law, you do all 4 of the outer drive axles for tandem axle. Maybe one trailer if chain level requires so..

Most places I've seen say a single axle must have all tires on drive axle chained. All of the Auto Socks I've looked at so far are for the outer tire only in a dual configuration. My loss. Wish I could use them..

AutoSock is legal in all 48 states. They should also have some for super singles, but they won’t be cheap. I still have mine from last year, along with chains. I haven’t used either yet.

The best thing to do is to visit their official site and search for locations along your route. Then you call them to know if they have yours in stock. That’s what I did.

There should be a tire size chart for AutoSock somewhere, so you know which ones you need. Make sure you get the right ones. I remember the lady handed me the wrong ones, and when I told her, she made a fuss out of it. I eventually got her to give me the correct one per the size tag on the package. Who knows what her intentions were.

Just so everyone knows, AutoSock are not supposed to be driven over 20 MPH, at least that’s what mine say. Those things are expensive.

socks are cute, but ultimately proper chaining does it.
