Isn't it likely that $45,000 is just their asking price? As many have already said...I find it hard to believe that anyone would pay that kind of money for a truck with about a million miles.
Used peterbilts from TMC

Yeh 45,000 is their asking price, they do have all the options too, they aren't base models. but that doesn't mean anything unless the drivetrain is still good.

Just my opinion.
I work for a smaller, 8-10 truck fleet, we buy our trucks from JX peterbilt, and all have been 387's from Decker. Wouldnt be my first choice either, however the trucks have been really good to us. My last one was the only "bad" one of the group so far, and that cost us about 20k in maint the first 2 years. (3 major breakdowns all total) All trucks can be bought with 475 isx and 13 speeds, in the 800k mile range. all of ours were also only 20-30k
I just got a 2007 this past week, and after looking at it I was not the most thrilled (looked like the driver was new, cracked up a few lower body parts) but after driving it, I think it could be a nice truck once you look past the cosmetics. Under the hood its clean, oil sample came back good after a few weeks of local work (Before I got in it), Runs great, ect. so well see. -
i know a guy that got a tmc pete couple months ago he paid 40 for it very close to a million mile on it but he loves it so far
