Well what do ya know... I had been seeing a yellow strap laying by the side of 59 in Shepherd.
So I stopped today. That one had broken about 6 feet from the hook.
Found two more coiled up with the hooks gone.
I have all the edge protection I'll need for a LOOOOONG time! -
Good idea but retains water, which is bad if either your straps or tank happen to be steel.

The material you buy at Peterbilt is the same material ,it has a strip of adhesive already applied. You just remove the wrapper and stick it on. Not real sure how water could get in since the material is mashed between the tank and the tank strap. And I've never seen a Peterbilt with steel tanks.
