Your only two options are to either pull the winch track off or hook to the rub rail.

I'll take a picture of my current trailer on Monday since it's locked inside a secure area for now but.... On all of our trailers up under the deck about midway between the winches and main rail there's a 2" wide steel strap running the length of the trailer attached at each cross member with 2 grade 8 bolts for hooking the flat hook of a strap to.

Reitnour that I had didn't have that strap you are talking about. You put the j-hook where he has the winch track. With the winch track on that side you can't get a hook on the side rail.

Thank you again for all of the responses. I did a little shopping today and was able to buy 15 more winches for under $20 ea. Kinedynes. The winch is made of cast iron instead of steel which I don't care for because the bar doesn't stick in as well, but I figured the right hand side I won't be winching on as much. Thanks again guys. Mick.

You need yourself a nice older Wilson roadbrute then you wouldn't need to buy all that extra stuff

My trailers all have winches on both sides. If you have squishy loads or something like that. It actually helps pull the load down instead of to one side. I just always out of habit alternate my straps. It spreads the winches and such out.

I'm sure you've seen loads leaning to the winch side. Winches on both sides will fix that.

No, not much you can hook to with that kind of track.

Two of my trailers have the 2" metal strap about 1/4 of an inch thick that runs the length of the trailer just behind the winch track on both sides. If I had a trailer that didn't have this I would add it. Only takes some flat bar, good drill and drill bits and a few bolts. One per support. The new Fontain revolution doesn't have this and it's a pain. And the supports are enclosed or built into the deck but no where to add the flat bar. I know it has the slots underneath but these are a pain in the backside for oversize. Especially when using chains. Works great for legal loads. I have seen 1 revolution with an anchor that looks a lot like the ones you can hook in the deck that appeared to be hooked to his winch track. Has anyone seen this?
