If it was a truck that came with three, he could add a fourth. $200 a piece for batteries is way high though, I sometimes buy they refurbished for less than $100 a piece, heck sometimes less than $50 at interstate battery with a trade in.

I am thinking along those same lines. They might be those DEI, which are decent but won’t handle voltage and usually have slightly less output. I would still bank on it doing 1200 Watts with 150 drive even with DEI pills.

Yeah it shows insecurity, and hiding things shows me it is nothing but some idiot who threw a junk box together and sell it as something great. All of these are the same design, there is only a couple things that can be done but all of them are just copies of designs from the 70's.

I rarely see a quality 11 meter box, most of them I can find flaws with because builder lacks one or a bunch of things. And I still scrap out amps, I have a bunch I got from some tech in Indiana February, including some huge box with lots of parts just hobbled together.

While I do get where you're coming from to a certain extent, you make it sound like as soon as I wire it up there will massive explosion inside the cab.

I really like my truck and I'd hate to see the entire interior destroyed due to not have Toshiba parts in it this amp.

Lots of folks have caught their trucks on fire using amplifiers with genuine Toshiba parts. Understanding the limitations of the transistors regardless of who made them and staying within those limitations is the key to success

I've seen meltdowns before from 'dave made' junk and other so called 'great' boxes.

Fuse the amp within 6 inches of the battery, run some wire loom around it and zip tie it to keep it from chafing. I have ran several amps in trucks, had ZERO issues with interference both electrical and ecm, and ran that 2x4 in my patrol car with no issues, ever. Ground ground and ground some more. That amp was hand built by a very capable tech, you can watch his videos online. Go to YouTube and search Stickman no name amps.

Here’s a video of Stickman in Maryland talking to someone in Kauai, Hawaii. Both people are talking on Stickman amps. Not too shabby.
