they are advertising in GA for this program as well

the link on the website is for independant contractors, i.e. leasing on with JB Hunt, the power only program is for O/O with their own authority and I don't believe they do the qualcomm, gas cards, etc since you are not required to pull any of their loads, it's just a business aragement to pull their trailers under your name.

Here is the real deal. I did this program and it is not as they advertise or explain. You can't use their insurance and have no access to discounts for insurance through them. You cant pull other loads on their trailers. (This is where I decided to go back to my own freight and load boards) They tell you that you can but by the time you jump through the hoops, the freight is gone and they do charge you for their trailers if you manage to get a load. They frown upon this after the fact because you are removing a trailer from their system so they cant plan it. The other problem is the amount of dead heads they want you to take.... I am not talking about the typical 50 to 100 mile that accompanies freight but 800 to 900 and more mile dead heads. Yes I said 800 to 900 mile dead head. This happened to me and my trucks on several occasions, promises that you were going to great paying high dollar freight but they wouldnt put it in writing. You are also forgettingthe $100 a week deduction for the Qualcomm escrow (it stops after your balance reaches $3000) but you continue to pay $18 a week for qualcomm as well as $.02 per character over 1200 characters, $18 per trans flo (trip pack) and several other items. My absolute favorite was the charge for the "Outside Prime Agent Fee" that started to accompany my bills.....(translation: they found a loophole to double dip on loads to give you less)....This typically runs about $20 a month because you cant always call your dispatcher and talk... yeah they do not like to answer the phone forcing you to use qualcomm...... See what the reaction is after you refuse freight that i only paying $0.89 cpm and it is followed by .. you guessed it and 87cpm load from ATL to LA (not Louisiana, Los Angelas, CA)... Bottom line is the sales pitch is outstanding but the meat and potatos that they are serving is really potted mystery meat and powdered milk...... All this and the average weekly dispatched miles per truck is drum roll please.... 1300 miles!

I am currently looking into a similar agreement with freymiller. I own an older trailer and it is at the shop to be repaired. My subframe rusted through from the inside out so it is not going to be a cheap or quick fix. Does anyone have any information on this with freymiller? The jbhunt program doesn't sound too bad. New here so would appreciate any help.:yes2557:
