Yeap, pretty soon it'll just be a steering wheel, and a accelerator and brake pedal. I figure the only reason they keep actual humans is because a computer can't get out and swing the doors.

And some of us that had tricked out Jakes back in the day with really good stopping power would use the trolley at about 20 psi application while using the Jake just to keep her in balance.

That's funny. You must have been around a little longer than me. I though this was a Johnson Bar.

Of course, I kept on looking, and there is a definition of it like you described in the Urban Dictionary. I do remember wig wags, though.

Little bit of a crossover from railroading to trucking.

I would use the trolley to hold on a hill as well. You can do a lot smoother start on a steep incline when both feet are on the right pedals to begin with.

You'll never jackknife using a trolley, unless of course you panic and jump on the foot valve when the trailer starts to drift sideways.

Bendix valve TC-7, what's in mine, TC stands for trailer control. But I think the right name is trolley and foot brake is treadle.

You can use this valve for a train horn if you so desire. Gives you a nice range of pressure to play that horn like the engineers do.
