Is 20-ton really necessary though? On a blowout, since you are only lifting half the axle, wouldn't 10-ton do? I guess if the price between the two is negligible, then it would make sense to go with the stronger one...

You might need it if you're loaded and can't uncouple or for a loaded trailer. Also, I don't trust their ratings either. So I figured the extra capacity certainly can't hurt.

When some moron does this to your trailer, a 20 ton is quite helpful

WOW. I suppose it is. Or some scum bag pulled your 5th wheel at a truck stop and you forgot to pre-trip it.

this was the guy supposedly helping to deliver my load after my motor mount bolts let go, he tried very poorly to get under it (at a 45 degree angle) and pushed it 7 foot from where it had been

Now if you’re changing a set of tires, that is best done at a shop with a big air compressor. A 3/4” 18v Milwaukee will hold up just fine for changing a tire on the side of the road though. I wouldn’t even waste my money on the pricey 1” Milwaukee, I don’t see how it could be much better than the 3/4, that thing is a beast.

I use a 1/2” high torque Milwaukee. Works great.

Never tried to run air tools off my truck, nice to know it works in a pinch. I would put a fitting on the tank directly if I was gunna try though. I use one on my air tank a lot to air tires up

So, I got a m18, 3/4 inch, it took the first 2 nuts off and then couldn't do any more, now In its defence I had to use a 3/4 to 1 inch adapter as I don't have any 3/4 sockets. I put a nut on with the m18, but then the m18 couldn't take it back off.

I will have to order a 3/4 bit to see how it really performs.

In regards to my air set up, I made a T piece, so that I can hook into air between my A trailer and B trailer, so this should give me Truck and 2 trailers worth of air tanks, still only running 1/4 fittings, but it seemed to help alot.

There should be more torque going off then on.

A 3/4 to 1" adapter won't sap it that bad. I use one too, it's in the video I posted in this thread. Side note, in the video I was running it one handed juggling the phone with the other. Using both hands makes it run even better. If yours isn't running like mine, check your power settings. If it's definitely on the high setting, you might have gotten a bad one.
