Do the High output batteries make a difference?

The impact came with 5.0ah, but I also have 8.0ah hight output, which I thought made a bit of a difference. But it might have been luck of the draw or all in my mind .

Like a 12.0ah should do the same work as 2 x 6.0ah yeah?

I'd have to double check but I'm pretty sure I just have 5 ah batteries on my 1/2 inch m18 fuel. And I've had no problem doing several wheels at a time. I double check torque after using impact and rarely get anything more out of the nuts.
You are losing some power with an adapter

I use my 5Ah batteries on mine. I have a 12 used mainly on a leaf blower, but never seen the need for it on the 3/4 impact.

I have a 3/4 Milwaukee Impact I use for tires. Works good. If a shop over tightens then make sure you have some extra batteries ready for it.

Just shows how bad shops over-tighten lug nuts. It's amazing there aren't more wheel off situations from stressed/stretched studs out here. That 3/4 M18 ought to bust one loose fairly easily without a whole lot of hammering if it's at 450-500 ft lbs.

Yeah, the nuts I did up myself the m18 impact had absolutely no issues whatsoever taking off. But man these shops just keep hammering nuts way too much

I think I will just take the m18 with me whenever going to a shop and use it myself to tighten the nuts.

Had to swap all wheels over on 2 tractors today, I used the m18 for everything, no issues whatsoever, these nuts were not smashed on and whoever did it used some lubricant as well.

I used my new air powered jack as well, so was very happy.

OK just to finish this thread off, did 20 nuts today on 1 battery, 8.0ah high output, had 2 bars left at the end. I was using a 150mm extension bar and 3/4 inch socket no adapter.

These nuts were put on by my regular shop who absolutely hammer them on, the m18 took a bit to get them off, but it was up to the challenge, so it did better than the air gun running from the truck.

In my research I see the torque test channel rated the new 40v makita better then the m18, so if I was buying solely for the truck I would've got that, but we needed some gardening stuff around the house so the m18 suited that a bit better and I got the grease gun as well ( no 40v grease gun in makita yet)

So yeah I am happy the purchase, still ran air from the truck though to pump up the tyres, but all in all a very happy chappy here.

    Thanks all that helped.
