I'm glad I'm where it's warm....you guys can keep the snow....LOL....I'm sitting at a Rest Area 10 miles from my delivery on I90, XT 21, in WI.

Have had a crazy day. PU was 20 miles away at 7:00, so I gave myself an hour to get there...."surely I can go 20 miles in Chicago in an hour???".....45 miles and 1.25 hrs later I get there......check in and get told "Oh, we can't do anything with you until 9:00.".......Now, this is a live load and it is supposed to be delivered 250 miles away by noon.

Finally get loaded and out about 10:00, said I could deliver by 1600, then get sent up the back way (to avoid the I90 toll road)......drove for over 2 hours and never got over 50mph....lots of little towns!!!................message from FM at 2:45 says "Customer can take delivery by 1500 or deliver in the morning.".......messaged back at 3:15 "57 miles out, what time in the morning?"....gotta love it.

    ________________________________________________

Had to come back in and update this.......got a call about 5:30, I'm guessing from CSR "When can you deliver? They are waiting for you." Told him the story, then said "I"ll be there in 15 minutes."

I love it when we have no time to stop. We dropped in at UPS in San Leandro and immediately got the load assignment to run empty to San Bernardino. We got in about an hour early and our Fedex load was ready so we dropped the empty, got our load and are out of the gate on the way to Albuquerque. This is turning into a great week.

I'm now sitting at Olive Branch for the weekend. Picked up an HVP load just south of Green Bay the other day and it doesn't deliver until Monday......so it's another 34 for me, but at least I'm guaranteed to have the hours to get home with next weekend....LOL

Sweet, we are going to be going through Memphis on our way to Cincinnatti, if we have time we will swing by. We got two repower offers before we got to Albuquerque. We made it to Fedex 6 hours early and went to a Flying J 3 miles away to wait for the solo driver. Kind of pissed me off that he stopped and took a two hour nap as it ate into my drive time for the day but we got a few hours of quiet sleep and we are running another 1400 miles.

Go figure. You guys are out there and I am in Irving. I am all done with training. My finishing cordinator was supposed to set me up for 2 nights in the motel, oops she only set me up for tonight. Tomorrow I will go down and pay for tomorrow night. I am going to study tomorrow for upgrade test. Glad my training is all done.

Lee, just call the USX switchboard and have them put you in touch with the person who takes care of paying for the room. That's what I did when I was stuck in Cincinnati getting my truck fixed.....this is my switchboard # but they should be able to give you the number you need to call...800-251-6291

    engine312 Thanks this.
