Well we are delivering to a Grocery DC now and then go over to
Fedex for our first west coast run. It is a hazmat load and we get
44 hours to deliver 1700 miles. Slow freight this weekend so we
    are ready to run!

Hello guys and gals! Hope you all are off to a great week :D
im looking forward to starting my training this week ASAP! I talked with my training coord and he is looking for a trainer for me now. Hopefully they will route him through my area and I won't have to get on grayhound again but at this point I'm willing to walk to where ever I need to go in order to get this show on the road!

    Hey everyone,

We made our delivery at the Fedex in West Sacramento last night around 2200. We took our time a little because dispatch told us there wasn't going to be any loads available to us until Monday morning.

Upon arrival, there was one empty trailer which is not how it usually goes for me, but before I got too excited I already had resigned to the fact that there must be something wrong with it and as my luck goes, the landing gear was messed up. The leg on one side would only raise up about 1 inch and then just stay there while the other side continued to go up. I've had similar problems like this before and was able to fix it myself, but that was not the case this time. The nice guy working at the gate told me they would have some of our trailers emptied by 6 am, so we called it a day and I just called that trailer in to breakdown so they could send someone out to fix it so the next guy that needs it doesn't get screwed.

After a nice little nap, I got up and checked to see if there was any news from dispatch on the DT and found out that they had us set up on a PP picking up tonight in San Bernardino, CA bound for Conley, GA with 434 miles MT and 2129 loaded. We cruised back over to Fedex, grabbed our wagon and we're now heading down to the Colton terminal to lay around and wait for our 2200 pick up time.

I know we're only 2 loads into out team experience, but our dispatch team seems to really be on the ball and we're loving it so far.

    NoCoCraig Thanks this.

That is how it is supposed to work Jeremy. West Sac usually has lots of empties. Keep rolling.

    Yup, so far so good.

They only had the broke one last night, and one other this morning that we were fortunate enough to get.

Got a question for ya, gonna send a PM.

Also remember, if no empties, look for Arnold or Total trailers and beg for permission to grab it.

I usually always try to grab the Arnold trailers because in my experience they tend to be in a little better condition than the average USX trailer.

I have been told directly by dispatch in the past that we can't pull the Total trailers even when that's all that's been available at my deliveries. I have since heard mixed things about USX pulling them, so believe me, I will be asking if that problem arises again.

I pulled 2 Arnold trailers so far when no USX trailers were around. Planners couldn't find me a empty anyplace so I told them there were a few Arnold trailers sitting around. Got the go ahead to hook and roll. Is is just me or are alot of USX trailers beat to living hell? Seems like everyone I've hooked into in the past couple weeks is in majorly rough shape

I'm pulling a Fedex hazmat load to West Sac starting tonight. Thanks for the heads up on the trailers.
Any other good info on that place? This is my first load west of I35.
