Can any of you wonderful people fill me in on the physical skills test? I would just like to have an idea so that I can work on the strengthening of the parts that will need to be strong
I exercise daily and have started using hand weights and ankle weights. Still working on getting my quad muscle in my left leg at the knee completely strengthened and it is coming along well.
Talked with Annette Friday after I sent her some more documents concerning an accident I had 7 years ago in my personal vehicle. After I sent them, she called and said that all was good and because there was not another vehicle involved that. She said she was going to send my paperwork up to be processed and to call her as soon as I graduate. She said that I would be contacted if there was any more information that they needed.
I'm getting pretty hyped about this and just wish it wasn't so far away. I finally start school on Wednesday and won't graduate until Aug. 24. Hoping to start orientation on Aug. 29 if everything works out.
I just love this forum and have already learned a lot from you guys that are out there on the road for this company... -
You have to carry a 50 lbs bag down the hallway back and forth and lift it up onto a shelf. You also need to step onto a ladder up and down a couple times, and crawl underneath a table.
I am 126 pounds at 5,2 height and I was not very muscular one year ago at the physical test, so you can tell it is not very demanding. It's basically to show that you can perform the daily inspection. -
Thanks so much!! I will be in fine shape once I get out of school with the exercises that I'm doing now. I'm 5'-10" and about 180 right now. For some reason, I have read that the bags are 70 lbs. Don't know that that's the case...just wondering. That's a big difference in weight....if anybody knows for sure what it is now, please let me know.

The weight difference is due to the requirement for dedicated is higher. Best option is to do the Dedicated Account test. If you fail you may still qualify for OTR

We are sitting at the TA in Roanoke, VA for this evening. Started our day at 0300 and tomorrow we get to start at 0200 for our delivery at 0615 in Jonesville, SC. Sean is doing really great. She has 51.75 hrs driving, 3.5 hrs backing, and a little over 2500 miles.....I have 1 hr driving...LOL
We decided that I will start out in the morning and drive the highway and then Sean will drive in town.....my town shifting is not quite up to speed.....LOL
Hometime is scheduled for this Friday, but we will be doing a reset Tuesday or Wednesday. We only have 30 hours left.marquardt72 Thanks this. -

We are at the Pilot in Piedmont, SC waiting on a delivery time for a Home Depot load in Breinigsville, PA.....told FM we could be there Wednesday and he suggested 0700 but it has to go to CSR first, I guess. I'm hoping to have some time on Wednesday to get a load and I hope it's heading west....we will have to stop sometime Wednesday afternoon until midnight on Thursday when we'll get hours back.....hopefully we can get in a 34 and then have our full hours to run towards home for 3 days.
